Stephen A. Smith has recently shared a scary detail regarding the infamous Golden State Warriors scandal involving Draymond Green and Jordan Poole.
The Golden State Warriors preseason has been nothing remotely close to the one that they would’ve hoped for. Being the defending champions, the Warriors would have hoped for a preseason that set them up for a good shot at defending their title – but their preseason has been plagued by an infamous scandal that seems to have broken the locker room in two.
It was only a week ago that reports of an altercation between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole in a practice session went viral online. According to reports, the pair were having a verbal face off until tempers flared and Green punched Poole in an altercation that needed the whole team to intervene in the situation–it was initially only rumours until the video of the incident leaked.
After the video of the incident was leaked, Green had to publicly apologize to both Poole and the whole team–but despite the apology, the damage seems to have already been done. According to many insiders, the situation was much worse than it was shown to be, and Stephen A. Smith has now come up with a scary detail that throws more light on the infamous fight.
According to the reputed NBA analyst, Green’s punch on Poole was a vicious one.
Speaking on the NBA talk show First Take, Smith said: “Draymond Green eventually knocked this dude out. When he lunged in and caught him (Poole) with a straight right fist, he fell into him as well – and that held Jordan Poole up. I was told, the brother was knocked out – that’s how vicious the blow was.”
According to reports, Poole still has not forgiven Green for the attack – and the former faces a punishment from the Warriors for breaking organizational guidelines of assaulting a colleague. It is yet to be seen if this altercation has consequences on the Warriors’ season on the court.
