The Warriors hosted Denver Nuggets at Chase Center where Stephen Curry reached yet another milestone by scoring his 3000th 3-pointer in the regular season.
Golden State Warriors are on roll and the important reason behind their success is the shooting form of Stephen Curry. He now has massive 887 points in just 32 games, topping the points scored list this season.
Stephen has already made history at Madison Square Garden, where he broke Ray Allen’s record of most three-pointers in the regular season. The game ended with Steph scoring a total of 2977 threes in his regular season’s career.
He already expresses his desire to get the record in front of the home crowd, which unfortunately did not materialize. But he surpassed a milestone of scoring 3000 three-pointers at the Warriors’ home court – Chase center.
The shot came in the dying seconds of the 3rd quarter. Astonishingly it was 1st 3 pointer of the game for Stephen Curry, (he missed the previous 7 attempts, and made a total of 5 3-pointers in the game). With this Steph became the only player to score 3000 three-pointers in the regular season. Let us watch the shot and crowd reaction,
As we have seen, Curry got a wide-open shot on the wing and drilled it with ease (by his standards). The crowd and commentators were cheering and applauding over Steph’s new feat, but we missed the typical Curry celebration, as he was in the game mindset where the Nuggets were leading 74-61 at end of the 3rd quarter.
Stephen Curry has scored many three-pointers over his 14 years career in NBA. His range and accuracy has been the main offensive arsenal for the team. Following are his 3 pointer stats against each NBA team,
