Stephen Curry & the Golden State Warriors closed out the Boston Celtics in Boston and were crowned as the NBA Champions for the 4th time in 8 years.
The Golden State Warriors are the NBA Champions once again. They defeated the Boston Celtics in game 6 at their own homecourt to clinch their 4th championship in eight years.
This was a huge achievement by the Warriors as they returned to the finals after two years. Their star players suffered injuries, and it was a tough road for them to reach back here.
The Warriors proved all their doubters wrong once again, as the trio of Steph-Klay-Dray delivered once again. Valuable contributions from the likes of Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins came in clutch for them.
They showed the world that they can still win without Kevin Durant, and it shows how great of an organization they are. In the year Klay Thompson returned after missing the last two seasons due to injuries, the team delivered another championship.
Stephen Curry wins the FINALS MVP Award
The long-awaited award that Stephen Curry was despised for has finally been conquered. He was declared as the Finals MVP after a great showing throughout the finals except for game 5.
This was the only award that was missing from Curry’s glorious resume. He is now arguably among the top 10 players of all time, and this certainly means so much for him.
He was visibly emotional after the game ended, as he knows how tough it was this time around. They faced the adversities, challenges, injuries, etc. but they still overcame and were the deserved champions of this season.
