Stephen Curry is the back bone of Golden State Warriors, that too a strong one. Although, many speculate Jordan Poole would soon take over the ‘Chef Curry’ legacy but he stands tall and firm.
Golden State Warriors are at the 6th position in the Western Conference with a record of 20-19. The team was seen struggling soon after Stephen Curry missed out due to an unwelcomed injury. His shoulder took the blow and Curry had to go through a surgery to fix his injury. He updated earlier that his surgery has given him the confidence to shoot the ball.
Stephen Curry spoke about his practice session after injury, “It was nice to break a sweat, feel the speed of the game again, the physicality of it and get yourself in situations that you can test everything that you need to to be able to be ready for an actual game.”
“I feel like I haven’t lost too much, in terms of conditioning or just understanding 5-on-5 so hopefully the transition will be pretty smooth once I get back out there,” Curry took part on a 5-5 session with contact on Friday, 6th of January.
Steph was questioned if the injury has left any setback in terms of his gameplay. He answered, via NBC, “No setbacks, feels different, but manageable and something that when you’re out there on the floor,”
“With any injury you just want to be in position where even if you do feel a little bit of discomfort or an awareness of whatever it is that you don’t think about it during the game. You just react, move how you need to, take shots you to, go both directions, use both arms as you need to,” added Stephen Curry.
Curry was averaging 30 points per game with 6.6 rebounds and 6.8 assists before his injury. The 2022 NBA Finals MVP is confident enough to make his comeback in the 2022-23 regular season.
