Stephen Curry’s mother was in the headlines after she was interviewed by her son for her recently released memoir during what Curry described as the “best interview ever.”
It has been an incredible year for Steph Curry. His fourth NBA Championship, his first Finals MVP, being inducted into Davidson College’s Hall of Fame while also having his number retired by the Wildcats, it has been a year to remember for Curry. And there is more content for the die-hard fans of the Golden State Warriors superstar as his mother Sonya has released her memoir.
Sonya Curry, ex-wife to Stephen’s father and former NBA player Dell Curry and mother to her sons Stephen and Seth and daughter Sydell, has recently released her memoir titled “Fierce Love.” As part of a promotional campaign for her book, she recently sat down with her son to talk about the memoir – and Curry took to his Twitter to talk about interviewing his mother.
Curry wrote on his Twitter account: “Best interview ever?? Best interview ever. Back home in Charlotte with my mama Sonya to talk her new memoir Fierce Love!!️ So proud of this amazing woman. Check it out @literati”.
Stephen Curry also posted the link to the full interview alongside the tweet, as his fans spoke about how they felt about Curry’s mother releasing the memoir.
While one fan wrote “Blessings to your Mother and you Steph, those words were inspiring to me”, another wrote: “That has to be one of the greatest feelings when a mom hears her son refer to her as an amazing woman. That is respect and love!”
What is Sonya Curry’s memoir “Fierce Love” all about?
Sonya Curry released her memoir in May this year, titled “Fierce Love: A Memoir of Family, Faith, and Purpose.”
The memoir contains a well documented account of her life and how she brought up her sons – NBA superstars Steph and Seth, as well as daughter and former college volleyball player Sydell Curry-Lee. Sonya shares an account of the never before shared story of Steph Curry’s childhood, as well as her lifelong devotion to education, family and faith.
The book published by HarperCollins has done very well since its release, and is rated 4.1 out of 5 on Goodreads with other raving reviews on other platforms as well.
