Stephen Curry finally had his crew back in the 201-22 season, and he didn’t disappoint any of us. Having already revealed his intentions a season prior when Steve Kerr’s side couldn’t make it into the playoffs, the 3-Point King rose to the occasion to finally register his 4th Championship ring.
Curry was also named for the NBA Finals MVP for the first time as he single-handedly led his team past the victory line in the playoffs, despite Klay Thompson making a late comeback. On the same note, this only resulted in Stephen Curry fetching more popularity on social media as per the most recent post by Sports Business Journal.
For those who missed the spoken off post – it was revealed that Stephen Curry was the most viewed player on various social media platforms in 2022. Interestingly, Steph got 100 million more views that the player registered second in the same list.
Talking more in detail about list, after the 3-Point King the next nine players were Ja Morant (Memphis Grizzlies), LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks), Jordan Poole (Golden State Warriors), Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics), Kevin Durant (Brooklyn Nets), Anthony Davis (Los Angeles Lakers), and Russell Westbrook (Los Angeles Lakers).
The 4-time NBA Champion and reigning NBA Finals MVP’s 485 million views were firmly at the top, with Morant’s 351M finishing in second.
The more important question is whether Steph can add to his numbers in the 2022-23 season? Remains to be seen.
