Steph Curry mentioned that he would love to play with Kevin Durant and want GSW to trade him
Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant have no doubt been among the biggest stars in NBA history, with both having some big numbers not only on the scoreboards but also in their bank accounts. Both were part of the Golden State Warrior side that lifted two back-to-back NBA Championships in the year 2017 and 2018 respectively, with Durant becoming the Finals MVP in both seasons.
In a recent interview with the Rolling Stones, the warrior’s star mentioned that last month the Golden State side had internal talks of bringing KD back to the side and he would love to play with his former teammate who is currently playing for the Brooklyn Nets side on a four-year contract worth $198 Million.
Curry mention that he was “never hesitant” with the idea of reuniting with the three-time Olympic Gold medalist with whom he had played till 2019. He stated “The Idea of playing with KD and knowing who he is as a person, from our history in those three years, I think KD’s a really good dude. I think he is misunderstood.
He also added “I think he has had certain things happen in his life that hurt his ability to trust people around him, in a sense of making him feel safe at all times. So all those things I understood, having him played with him and gotten to know him. I love that dude”.
Durant and Curry playing together will undoubtedly be a big gift for the states fan with both capable of single-handedly taking games away from the opposition sides.
Curry, however, said that although he would love to play alongside KD, he would also keep in mind what would the trade of this 2010 World Championships Gold medalist would cost the side. Moreover, he also remarked about his current team which has no doubt some big talents (Wiggins, Poole, and Draymond Green) and his confidence could lift the championship again with his current side.
