Stephen Curry has grown to be synonymous with the Golden State Warriors for all of his career in the NBA, having spent all 13 years of his NBA career so far with the Californian franchise.

Having been drafted by the Golden State Warriors as their first pick and the seventh overall in the 2009 Draft, Stephen Curry developed into a seasoned veteran from the young man who turned out for the Davidson Wildcats in his college days.

It was with the Warriors that Curry won all four of his NBA Championships, his two regular season MVPs as well as the Finals’ MVP from last season.

Therefore, it is near impossible to imagine Curry donning any jersey other than the ones with the colours of yellow and blue on it.

However, as it turns out, Curry does have another team in mind to turn out for before he hangs his boots on a legendary career that places him with so many past greats of the game.

What team does Curry want to represent before retiring from basketball?

According to Curry, he wants to represent one team before he hangs his boots up.

Curry has addressed rumours of him wanting to represent the Charlotte Hornets hailing from his native city of Charlotte, and has confirmed his intentions of playing for the Hornets before he calls it a day on his legendary career.

“Everybody asks me, “You wanna play one year for the Hornets and come back?”…I am not breaking any news right now, I’m not making any promises.”

“All I would say is if there was a team that I did want to play for that was not named the Warriors, that would be it” said Curry when asked about his retirement plan.

It will certainly be unnatural to see Curry in any other jersey other than the ones worn by the Golden State Warriors, however it is very possible that Curry goes to the Hornets to play for a season before retiring from the game.
