Shannon Sharpe had LeBron James’ back in the matchup against Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies.
The 3-time Super Bowl champion went fuming against Ja Morant’s father, Tee Morant and several other Memphis players. Including ex- Oklahoma City Thunder player, Steve Adams. Brooks, Steve Adams and the Morant family had some aggression against Shannon Sharpe. Probably, a result of Sharpe’s attraction towards LeBron James.
“Shannon Sharpe, that’s my Unc, I love Shannon, I talk to him all the time.” Added Stephen Jackson, “You just gonna remember Unc, Bron ain’t gonna run up and fight nobody for you. Keep that in mind.”
“Bron, ain’t gonna run up and fight nobody for you! Bron can see Shannon in a restaurant and get into a scuffle. If he with his family, he ain’t gonna run up over there. That’s the last thing Bron would do. Keep that in mind, Uncle! Bron’s not gonna fight for you. I know you love him but it’s not gonna be reciprocated.”
How did Lebron James react when Shannon Sharpe was ready to fight the entire Grizzlies team for him?
The words from Stephen Jackson on the podcast ‘I Am Athlete’ came as a shock for Shannon Sharpe and LeBron James’ decision. LeBron vocalised his fondness for the 4-time First Team All-Pro, “I ride with Shannon 365 days — 366 on a leap year — 24/7. So that’s my guy.”
“I always got his back. And he’s got mine. He can talk with the best of them, for sure.” LeBron James is not a star who doesn’t value friendship. This was the reason behind NFL players Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones and Brandon Marshall not being able to understand Stephen Jackson’s claim over LeBron’s friendships.
Sharpe revealed the reason behind his beef with Tee Morant and Grizzlies. “It started with Dillon Brooks. I said he was too small to guard LeBron. He said, ‘F—‘ me. I said, ‘F—‘ you back. He started to come at me and I said, ‘You don’t want these problems.’ And then Ja came out of nowhere talking.”
