Head coach of GSW Steve Kerr wants to coach Giannis in his career, fans think he is funny for these remarks.
Golden State’s coach and former NBA star Steve Kerr have seen success at every step of his life. Recently he was in Egypt and answered some media questions on the tour.
When asked from FilGoal about which player Kerr wants to coach in the future other than the guys with the Warriors team, he said, “Giannis, I would like to coach Giannis, he’s a great player, but he seems like a great person as well.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best two-way superstars in the league today. He won a championship with the Milwaukee Bucks because of his deadly combination of offence and defence.
The 27-year-old star of the Milwaukee Bucks is a two-time NBA MVP, the 2020–21 Defensive Player of the Year, the NBA Finals MVP, a six-time All-Star and All–NBA selection, and an NBA Champion.
In any way, Kerr has a lot of respect for Giannis despite the fact that they are competitors on the court. He thinks Giannis is a humble guy off the court as well.
Giannis is signed with the Bucks for a long-term deal and not leaving the Bucks anytime soon and him playing under the coaching of Kerr is rare. Kerr could be able to achieve his objective by coaching Giannis in an All-Star Game.
Fans reacted to the reaction from Kerr and think it is funny for him to say something like this for Giannis. Twitter users started calling out Kerr and called Giannis better than Curry.
One user tweeted, ‘Ofc he would. Giannis is way better than Curry“ while the other one tweeted, ‘Wow thats so cool Kerr wants to be an assistant for the Bucks to coach Giannis!“
