Patrick Beverley has shut down Skip Bayless’ latest conspiracy theory surrounding Russell Westbrook, LeBron James and Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers with his tweet.
Skip Bayless is one of the most notorious NBA analysts in the game. The analyst is known for his hot takes that often range from logical opinion to borderline conspiracy theories, and it edged towards the far end of the spectrum yet again after he tweeted about his latest conspiracy theory regarding Russell Westbrook, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Patrick Beverley of the Lakers.
Bayless – most known for his takes on the show Skip and Shannon: Undisputed – took to his Twitter to post about his inference from the sidelines of a preseason game between the Lakers and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Bayless wrote: “Russell Westbrook (who isn’t playing) is sitting in street clothes about halfway down the Lakers bench. LeBron, AD and Pat Bev (who aren’t playing) are sitting together in street clothes at the far end of the bench. Says it all.”
The tweet that implied a division in the Lakers dressing room with Russ on one side and the trio of LeBron, AD and Pat Bev on the other side garnered plenty of reaction from the NBA community, and Beverley himself took to Twitter to address the theory.
What did Pat Bev have to say about Bayless’ latest theory?
It would be fair to say that Beverley wasn’t a fan of Bayless’ latest Lakers’ theory.
Quoting Bayless’ tweet, Beverley wrote: “No it doesn’t. Stop searching Skip. Sheesh 🙄” It was not Beverley’s first retort back at Bayless this season, but the short and subtle reply proved to be enough to shut down all speculation about a rift in the Lakers dressing room, and suggested that the Lakers were all on the same boat ahead of the new season.
The Lakers will certainly hope to prove their detractors wrong by mounting a title challenge this season, and making their way back into the Play-Offs after missing out last season.
