T.J. Warren has agreed to a one-year contract with the Brooklyn Nets after missing most of the last two seasons due to a stress fracture in his left foot.

Warren played in just four games in 2020–21 and was out for the whole 2021 campaign due to back-to-back fractures, but he is currently on the mend, and the Nets are optimistic that he can contribute at both forward positions.

The Nets, who are in trade negotiations for All-NBA forward Kevin Durant and star point guard Kyrie Irving after Durant made a move request last week, will now have 11 players under contract thanks to Warren’s commitment.

For the Indiana Pacers in 2020, 28-year-old Warren averaged nearly 20 points on 53% field goal shooting, demonstrating his potential to be a powerful and adaptable offensive force in both Indiana and Phoenix.

In six games for the Orlando bubble team in 2020, Warren averaged 31 points on 58 percent shooting, including 52 percent from three. He contributed well in Indiana’s first-round playoff loss to the Miami Heat with an average of 20.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists.

What does a move for T.J. Warren mean for the Brooklyn Nets?

Things could blow up for the Brooklyn Nets anytime soon. A potential move for Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant is upon them. Maybe the Nets are trying to add other players to carry the team ahead in place of their two superstars.

Moreover, a move for Warren is good for their team. He is a good scorer who can defend as well. If KD and Kyrie decide to stay with the Nets, they have a very good roster and can win a championship. However, all of that is a big uncertainty as an exit for KD and Kyrie is very likely.
