The Cleveland Cavaliers trio comprising of Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen and Darius Garland won the Skills Challenge
The NBA-All Star weekend is full of highly anticipated contests in which the players take part to entertain their fans.
This time the skills contest had a different outlook to it as players were playing in a group of 3 players and had to contest in 3 different contests to win the whole thing.
Who were the teams contesting in the Skills challenge?
There were three teams in the skills challenge contest and they were:
- The Antetokounmpo brothers- Giannis, Thanasis and Alex
- The Rookies – Josh Giddey, Cade Cunningham and Scottie Barnes
- The Cavs – Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen and Darius Garland.
The three teams competed in three rounds to win the contest at the NBA All-Star Weekend.
Who were in the final round of the Skills contest?
The hometown trio of the Cavs won the skills contest as Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen and Darius Garland came through against the other two teams to win the contest.
They faced off against the Rookies team as Josh Giddey, Cade Cunningham and Scottie Barnes were able to get past the Antetokounmpo brothers to qualify for the final round.
Darius Garland’s shooting skills were immense in the contest while Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen complimented him really well and performed at their best to secure the win for the home team.
The main job of the players at such events is to entertain the fans who are watching them and they certainly did it as everyone loved watching tall players like Giannis, Mobley, and Allen shooting 3s from a range that is not associated with them.
