Max Kellerman explains why Giannis Antetokounmpo’s title with the Bucks counts for more than Kevin Durant’s titles with the Warriors
On the surface, one might think that every NBA Championship ring counts as equal weight. After all, winning a Championship at the highest level is never an easy feat.
But it seems like there is always a topic of discussion for debate even if it is for the championship title number which they won. Espn conducted a debate featuring Max Kellerman where he was asked which was more important Giannis Antetokounmpo’s title or Kevin Durant’s 2 rings with the Warriors.
This is what Kellerman said,
“This is a trick question, It’s Giannis by so much and I say that even after saying they were lucky that K.D and Kyrie and Harden weren’t all healthy together and Kawhi got hurt in the west and A.D got hurt in the west. Yes, they were lucky but you know why!
“Because if you Kyrie, Harden and K.D are on the same team you have constructed a can’t lose a team. The rings that K.D won are even worse than that, he joined a 73-win team, The All-Time Record that already won one championship, they came within short of winning another they couldn’t lose at that point. When you create a situation where you can’t lose, you don’t prove the same kind”.

He continued the debate by stating some more facts about Giannis’ title.
“Giannis when he hit the podium and set the right way. Stayed right where he was took a cast of non-superstars, two almost stars and won the championship on a string of performances that was as good as any we have ever seen in the Playoffs and capped it with a 50-point night that makes us question this is the closeout performance ever. His third 40-Plus Double Digit rebound in the same series. Yes, Giannis’ Ring means more and everybody knows it”.
