Dillon Brooks never shies away from getting into heated altercations, whether it is on the court with NFL Hall of Famer Tight End Shannon Sharpe or going on publicly stating how NBA refs are picking on him during games.
For those who are unaware, Grizzlies suffered a heart wrenching 112-110 loss against the Phoenix Suns on Monday Night wherein Dillon Brooks was adjudged for a flagrant foul-1 on Cameron Johnson in the first half itself.
This only made Brooks feel how he is treated differently by the NBA refs than some other players who have not been penalized in the same manner for an even larger impact in games.
Dillon Brooks calls out NBA refs
“They’re picking on me every night,” Brooks said, via Damichael Cole of Memphis Commercial Appeal. “Can’t play my game. Not letting me play physically enough. It’s every night, and I don’t appreciate it.” Brooks said this not just during the game against Phoenix Suns that this happened. Rather he claims that this is a nightly occurrence for him in that the referees seem to always have something against him.
“Every night they try to put me in foul trouble,” Brooks said. “I don’t like it. I hope it changes.”
