Steve Nash was fired as the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets and this is how the NBA world reacted to the same
The Brooklyn Nets organization and Head Coach Steve Nash have mutually agreed to part ways. This is news that many have anticipated and hoped for as the Brooklyn Nets have started the season terribly. The Nets have started the season with a win-loss record of 2-5 and many have questioned Steve Nash’s coaching skills.
From his handling of Ben Simmons to his man-management skills, Steve Nash has looked ill-prepared for his first head-coaching job. Many questioned the appointment when it occurred and have seen the lack of NBA coaching experience first-hand.
Steve Nash has been unable to get his players to rally behind him and fight to win. In addition to this, Nash struggled to succeed with the likes of James Harden, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving on the roster. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Nets and Steve Nash mutually agreed to part ways. Many fans have shared their reactions, some are shocked, some happy, and others wondering who will replace Nash.
It’s been reported that Assistant Coach Jacque Vaughn will serve as Interim head Coach until a replacement is found. It’ll be interesting to see who comes in to replace Steve Nash as the next Brooklyn Nets Head Coach. Several names have popped up with the most popular being Quin Snyder, Mike D’Antoni and Stephen Silas.
Both D’Antoni and Snyder are highly respected coaches who have years of Head coaching and playoff experience. Silas on the other hand is a relatively new up-and-coming Head Coach. No matter who gets the job, it’ll be interesting to see what names pop up on social media in the coming days.
