Basketball Legend Tracy McGrady was on “The Draymond Green Show”; where he and Draymond discussed many topics including change in the defensive rule by the NBA.
Golden State Warriors Superstar Draymond Green hosts a podcast – “The Draymond Green Show” where he discusses a plethora of NBA-related topics of his liking. He also interviews current and retired basketball professional players who also share their experiences and views on some topics.
The weekly Podcast already had Matt Barnes, Metta-World Peace, Stephen Jackson interviewed by Green. In his latest episode, Green hosted T-Mac and they talked about many different topics of the game.
The legendary basketball player talked about his playing career, playing against Kobe. Draymond asked T-Mac about today’s basketball league – whether he would have thrived more amongst the current crop of players?
The two-time NBA Scoring champion would clearly have scored many points in this era, as both Green and T-Mac said so.
Tracy McGrady cleverly explained the gist of the game. He said, “It is the rules that make the game softer, not the players. Let us call spade a spade.” He also commented on how the change of rule affected players making their shots right now in NBA.
Due to the new rule in NBA, an offensive player can not alter his shot or even launch themselves onto defenders to make a shot. It will be a fragment foul 1, and 2 such fouls get a player ejected from the game.
While on topic about “today’s basketball”, T-Mac mentioned Kevin Durant and Paul George whom he considers to have a similar style of play. McGrady also talked about his cousin Vince Carter, his days playing with Kobe Bryant and a lot more.
