The Atlanta Hawks qualify for the playoffs as the 8th seed in the East.
The Atlanta Hawks, led by Trae Young, have once again qualified for the playoffs after all the odds were against them as they finished as the 9th seed following the end of the regular season.
Hawks overcame the Cleveland Cavaliers in the fight for the 8th seed as they won the game by a score of 107-101, which required a massive effort from them. The Cavs were at home, and they started the game quite well, but ‘Ice Trae’ had other plans as he completely blew off the Cavs in the 2nd half of the game.
Trae Young scored 38 points while dishing out nine assists and was again the leading man for the Hawks when the pressure was at an all-time high in their biggest game of the season.
The Atlanta Hawks will face the Miami Heat in the first round of the playoffs in the Eastern Conference, where nothing is predictable. The Hawks showed the world last season that they are made for the big moments as they went to the Eastern Conference Finals last season, where they defeated the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2nd round of the playoffs, which was a massive upset.
Cleveland Cavaliers’ promising season ends in a disappointing manner
It was an excellent season for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Still, they couldn’t qualify for the playoffs, mainly because of all the injuries that their star players suffered throughout the season, which finally took a toll on them.
However, the emergence of Darius Garland and Evan Mobley, along with the likes of Lauri Markannen, Jarrett Allen, and Kevin Love, has brought joy back to Cleveland. They will be ready for the next season, and we can see them having an outstanding season next year when their squad is healthy, unlike this year.
