The Minnesota Timberwolves have recorded a huge win against the Memphis Grizzlies in the 1st game of their series. This was a home game for the Grizzlies, which is why this could be a huge result in context with the result of the whole series.

Memphis was the firm favorite heading into the match, but the young guns from Minnesota shocked them and showed that they aren’t here to fool around.

Timberwolves won the game by a score of 130-117, in which Anthony Edwards was the star of the night, as in his playoff debut he dropped 36 points and made a statement on the biggest stage.

Apart from Edwards, Karl Anthony Towns also stepped up big time and scored 29 points, as he bounced back quickly from his bad game against the Clippers, and acted as the leader of this young team.

The Timberwolves have put themselves into a good situation, as they have stolen a game from the Grizzlies at their home, which could play a big factor in how this series goes from here.
