Tim Hardaway became the latest former NBA professional to be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, as the former Golden State Warriors man was inducted into a list with esteemed company.
Hardaway enjoyed a career where he turned out for the Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets and Indiana Pacers.
However, the Magnum opus of his career came when he won the Olympic gold with the United States of America basketball team in the 2000 Olympic Games. He was also a 5-time NBA All-Star and an All-NBA Team Selection.
Even though Hardaway never won an NBA Championship in his career that spanned over 14 years, he was still one of the most influential players for the kids of his generation because of his signature “crossover dribble”.
The Chicago native was known for his signature move known as the “crossover dribble” as well as the “UTEP Two Step”, a maneuver where a player dribbling the ball switches the ball rapidly from one hand to the other, to change direction.
Hence, for a player of his influence, it was not surprising when he was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame. And as fate would have it, Hardaway brought his party piece to the party.
Hardaway pulled out his party piece at his induction ceremony in a clip that has since gone viral on social media platforms.
When the former NBA professional was being inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame by his mother and his father, it was a proud moment for a proud man – and it was only then when Hardaway did what he was best known–and pulled out the crossover dribble set.
Bardaway shimmied with his hips with his arms outstretched as he mimicked his heydays when he pulled the crossover dribbles off with ease, in what was a hilarious moment for everyone in attendance–and a proud moment for everyone involved with Hardaway’s NBA career.
