Giannis Antetokounmpo seems to be broken after the Milwaukee Bucks were defeated by the Philadelphia 76ers in their latest Western Conference clash.
The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in their latest clash at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Friday night. It was a strong performance by the Sixers who came back from a first-quarter deficit to win the game 110-102, and while Joel Embiid starred for the home side – it was Giannis Antetokounmpo who took most of the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Even though Giannis had a night where he racked up 25 points, 14 rebounds, and 4 assists – he was not at his very best considering his very lofty standards. The Greek Freak had a disastrous shooting night as he could only make 10 out of his total 22 attempted field goals at a success rate of 45%, and to make it even worse – Giannis made only 4 of his total 15 attempted free throws.
Giannis’ shooting form from the free throw line looked disastrous and uncharacteristic, and the Bucks superstar wasted no time to get going on his improvement as he immediately took aim at the hoop following the game.
However, what followed made plenty of fans in the basketball community claim that Giannis was broken after failing to help his team win the game.
Why did fans claim that Giannis Antetokounmpo was broken after the game?
Fans claimed that Giannis was broken after the defeat to the Sixers courtesy of his post game actions at the Wells Fargo Center.
While Giannis took aim at the hoops immediately following the game to work on his flaws, it did not seem to help a lot as his misfortunes from the free throw line continued. In a clip that has since gone viral after the game, Antetokounmpo is seen to be taking four consecutive free throws – and much to his frustration, all four failed to go in much like his performance in the game.
It was not the only thing that Giannis made the news for following the game, as he also was seen throwing a ladder away from the court post game in what was perceived as a disrespectful gesture to the Wells Fargo Center staff.
The Greek Freak will hope to bounce back from the setback as soon as possible, and help the stumbling Bucks move past their recent troubles.
