Watch: James Harden hits Horton-Tucker under pressure.

Los Angeles Lakers lost a home game against Brooklyn Nets 122-115. The game also had one not so sporty behavior from James Harden as he hits Horton-Tucker under pressure.

NBA world was in a festive mood and players were playing their best on this special day. All previous 3 scheduled matches had entertained fans so much. The Lakers-Nets match was on the same road until James Harden’s unsporting action distracted people.

Los Angeles Lakers were behind by 20 points entering in the 4th quarter and they were on some sort of push to close the gap. Lakers’ defense throughout the game was exploited by Harden and Patty Mills, but the LA team tightens up the defense in the 4th quarter particularly. The buckets on the other end were helping the Lakers motive to cut the lead.

Let us check the Incidence first.

James Harden Hitting Talen Horton-Tucker

The push from James Harden to Talen Horton Tucker

The incident happened around 9 minutes left on the clock and the Lakers cut the lead to 15 with quick plays. The shot clock was running down to 6 seconds when Harden got possession of the ball.

Talen Horton-Tucker was on Harden near 3 point line and Harden tried to create some space between him and THT with a slight push to get the shot away. Unfortunately (for Tucker mostly) THT was hit under the belt and went down quickly in the pain.

Officials quickly called an offensive foul and checked for a possible flagrant one. Finally, after reviewing the play, Harden was called for a Flagrant 1 foul. As per the NBA’s rule for flagrant 1 foul, Lakers got 2 free throws and retain possession. Horton Tucker was back on his feet and continued for the rest of the game.

James Harden is very skillful in drawing fouls from the opposition, but he probably mistimed his push and got called for an offensive flagrant one foul. This incidence will also be a highlight in the game, which somewhat is black-spot in Harden’s flawless triple-double in the game.

Lakers despite their late surge lost the game 122-115 against the Nets. LeBron and the Lakers now have a 16-18 record and are down to 7th place in the West. Brooklyn Nets on the other hand cemented their top position in the East, thanks to Harden and Patty Mills’s contributions in today’s game.
