James Harden seems to be back at his very best after he pulled off an insane dribble to floor his opponents while in action for the Philadelphia 76ers in pre-season.

James Harden seemed to be back at his very best. After an injury-riddled last couple of years as well as a mid-season trade, this past off-season was a crucial one for Harden as he worked on his physique just as much as his game. While Harden finished the off-season in the most incredible shape that he has ever been in, it seems like the old Harden who we knew is back in the flesh.

Harden was in action for the Philadelphia 76ers against the Cleveland Cavaliers in a preseason game at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, when he came up with a dribble and shot reminiscent of his Houston heydays.

It was in the second quarter of the game when Harden decided to channel his old self as he decided to floor his marker with an incredible dribble. The clip of the dribble has since gone viral on Twitter, with fans talking about the potential return of the prime James Harden who terrorized defenses in week out.

Why is James Harden being deemed to be back at his best?

Harden’s incredible dribble against the clock had fans speculating if he is back to his best.

It was in the second quarter of the game with the shot clock winding down that Harden found himself face-to-face with Dean Wade. With Wade having seemingly covered all of Harden’s lanes to dribble out of, Harden hit Wade with a feint followed by a sudden burst of acceleration that left Wade on the floor – and it was an easy two points as Harden tipped it into the basket.

The burst of acceleration Harden showed had been missing from his game over the last couple of years, and it seems like losing “100 pounds” as he confirmed to have lost over the summer did a world of good to his game.

Regardless of whether he is back to his best or not, the early signs are encouraging for the Philadelphia 76ers who won the game 113-112 against the Cavaliers.
