Returning from an MLC injury, it hasn’t been the smoothest of seasons for Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard. Not only has the two-time NBA Champions been frustrated by his minutes-reduction, following less time on the court but has also been forced on the sidelines. This ultimately resulted in various analysts and former players doubting the abilities of the Claw this year.
With plenty of frustration being filled inside Kawhi Leonard, he decided to take them all out at the basket when the Clippers locked horns against the Nuggets in their most recent showdown on Friday.
Following a pass from veteran John Wall, Kawhi Leonard had a full head of steam going toward the basket. The resilient 31-year-old beast, filled with bad intentions, rose up to throw a dunk right in Zeke Nnaji’s grill. And with such a mismatch on paper, only one could have reasonably come up on top. The eruption inside the arena could well be heard as Leonard came down on the floor.
This athletic dunk just showcased why Kawhi Leonard should be ruled out from making an impact in the game. Hopefully, Zeke Nnaji would be aware of that in the coming encounters.
However, coming off a stellar 33-point night on an incredible 9-12 shooting from the field and 12-12 from the foul line, Kawhi Leonard is currently having another strong outing against the Nikola Jokic-led Denver Nuggets, a solid 20-point bounce back performance (at the time of writing) relative to his previous dreadful performance against Denver.
