De’Anthony Melton was recently traded to the Philadelphia 76ers from the Memphis Grizzlies, in Danny Green was sent the other way. Melton had a prolific season for the Grizzlies and was a huge part of their success.
The Grizzlies roster was quite deep, and players like Melton helped the team when their star player Ja Morant was out injured. De’Anthony Melton now joins another contender in the 76ers, who are very close to winning a championship.
Recently he was seen supporting the 76ers’ summer league squad in Vegas. It was a great gesture by the new 76ers player, who showed up to support the young players.
The Memphis Grizzlies will miss De’Anthony Melton
The Memphis Grizzlies made a huge leap last season. It looked like they could win it all, but injuries hampered their way. Losing Melton will certainly be a huge disappointment for the Grizzlies.
The depth of Grizzlies isn’t as good now as it was last season. As a result, their star players need to show up. With Jaren Jackson Jr. also expected to miss the start of the season as he is recovering from surgery, the start could be rough for the team from Memphis next season.
