The Dallas Mavericks sealed a huge pickup of Christian Wood via trade from the Houston Rockets. Wood is the type of player that the Mavs needed, and fair to say it didn’t cost much for them.
According to Shams Charania, The Dallas Mavericks sent Boban Marjanovic, Sterling Brown, Trey Burke, Marquese Chriss, and the No. 26 pick to the Rockets for Christian Wood.
NBA Legend Magic Johnson reacted to the Wood deal, and he was ecstatic about it. He said, “The Dallas Mavericks are getting an athletic big man in Christian Wood who can score, rebound, and block shots; just what the Mavericks needed. Watch out for Dallas next season!”
This certainly is a great move by the Dallas Mavericks. They were able to reach the WCF this season without having a good center. With the inclusion of Wood, they have become quite better on both offense and defense.
