Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson turned back the clock to win a three point contest while on their pre-season campaign at NBA Japan.

The Golden State Warriors are currently enjoying their pre-season campaign in Japan. After an excellent NBA campaign last season that saw them reclaim the Championship title in style, the Warriors deserved their time off in the off season but with the new season breathing down their necks – it seems like the Warriors are back to putting their game faces on as soon as possible.

It definitely seemed so as Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson looked right in the mood for the season to start with their three point contest in the Saitama Super Arena in Japan. While the Warriors faced the Washington Wizards in the friendly game, Curry and Thompson put on a show preceding the game – a three point contest that got the audience right up to their feet.

“The Splash Brothers” – as they are known together – turned back the years as they just seemed to find the basket from just about everywhere on the court. Curry and Thompson, notoriously known for being two of the best shooters from distance in all of the NBA right now, beat the pair of Jordan Poole and Moses Moody with their exploits from incredible amounts of distance.

In the video posted by the official NBA account titled “The #SplashBros win the #NBAJapanGames Saturday Night Three-Point Contest!”, it was simply raining three pointers as Curry and Thompson did not miss even a single shot. Regardless of the distance, everything was going in – and the pair wildly celebrated their 100% three pointer rate after the buzzer went off.

And as expected, NBA Twitter were left stunned by the video.

What did NBA Twitter have to say about the video?

The NBA community on Twitter expressed their love for the Splash Brothers’ skill.

While one fan said: “I get these are professionals, but it amazes me how great Steph and Klay are at shooting from distance”, replies of a similar vein such as “They just having fun doing side missions lmaooo. Love that for em”, “No one can beat them in a shooting contest”, and “Can’t wait to see both torch the rest of the league again!” were also prevalent in the replies section.

The video certainly serves as good viewing for the Warriors fans as the defending champions begin their title defense against the Los Angeles Lakers on 10th October.
