Seth Curry discusses his troubles following the most recent injury to Kevin Durant by saying, “We gotta figure it out”

Seth Curry confronted his Brooklyn Nets colleagues about their over-reliance on Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving and their over-emphasis on playing isolation basketball. Kevin Durant picked up an injury which will hold him out for a minimum of two weeks just when the Nets were on fire.

Following their 112-102 home loss to the OKC Thunder, Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets suffered a second consecutive defeat without Kevin Durant. Prior to their two-game losing streak, they had won 18 of their previous 20 games, including a 109-98 setback to the Boston Celtics. At this point in the season the previous year, the Nets were in a comparable circumstance.

An MCL strain had been acquired by Durant. The club suffered greatly during his absence, going on a nine-game losing streak while they waited for his return to save their season. Irving believes the Nets won’t have any trouble without his co-star, despite the team’s consecutive losses.

This season, with Kevin Durant out, Kyrie Irving’s presence has helped the Brooklyn Nets. Last season, that wasn’t the case. Irving was currently only available for away games due to vaccination requirements. Irving’s availability hasn’t had much of an effect, though.

The absence of his co-star has caused the former NBA champion to suffer. Irving has scored 19.5 points in the past two games on 36.4% field goal percentage, including 22.2% from beyond the arc. If Irving’s performances during the past two games hadn’t declined, the outcome may have gone in Brooklyn’s favour.

However, the Nets are going through a tumultuous time. Because Kevin Durant has been available for the most of the season, it will be difficult for them to keep their winning percentage high.
