Skip Bayless believes Kevin Durant will not be traded from the Brooklyn Nets due to an extremely high asking price.
The whole NBA world was shaken when Kevin Durant handed in a trade request to the Brooklyn Nets. Immediately, many teams emerged as potential suitors for KD, but several weeks have passed and he is still with the Nets.
The Nets are asking a lot for the return of Kevin Durant, and not a single team in the NBA is willing to give up that much. The Brooklyn Nets are right in their decision-making because there haven’t been many times in the NBA when a player of KD’s caliber has been available on the market.
Famous Sports Analyst Skip Bayless recently on his show Undisputed talked about why he doesn’t think that the Nets will let go of Durant. Skip said, “I do not believe as I said from day one that KD will be traded because I believe the Nets pretty craftily set an unattainable price on Kevin Durant…”
He added, “It’s pie in the sky, it ain’t happening and this placates Kevin like well we think you’re so valuable that we want the sun and the moon and several stars back…”
When KD handed his trade request to the Nets, he made it clear that his preferred destinations to get traded were Phoenix and Miami. Both those teams will immediately become title favorites if KD ends up there.
However, so far, both these teams’ offers haven’t satisfied the Brooklyn Nets. No one knows yet where Kevin Durant will play next season. There is still a long way to go for the season to start and anything can happen till then.
