The latest reports of an altercation between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole in the Golden State Warriors camp has been all over the news. While some people have questioned the team morale in the Warriors camp, others have come out in support of the players – a situation that is very reminiscent of a similar altercation in the Warriors camp that took place a few seasons ago.
It was during the 2018/19 NBA season following a game between the Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers, that an altercation broke out between Draymond Green and Kevin Durant. The Warriors lost to the Clippers in overtime that night, and things got heated on the court at the end of regulation time as well as on the bench in overtime – leading to quite a memorable altercation.
What did Draymond Green say to KD?

According to Green, he won the ball back in a rebound was set to pass the ball to KD hugging the touchline on transition but to his surprise, KD was not in place to receive the ball. It turned out that KD had a completely different play in mind, and the clash in coordination cost them the game.
As they were making their way off the court to the bench in overtime, hell broke loose. “I’m walking off the court, and K is yelling, ‘Give me the motherf***ing ball.’ I’m just looking at him, and my response was, ‘I was f*****g passing you the ball if you would have f*****g ran.’”
The altercation was carried all the way to the bench where KD – sitting three chairs away from Green – slapped the chair right next to Green and said “I said give me the f*****g ball.” Green responded by saying “Yo, hey motherf****r I do this too. I was gonna give your a** the ball if you weren’t f*****g bitching. I do this too.”
However, according to both players, the argument was blown out of proportion by the media and was considered to be bigger than it actually was. In all honesty, the more recent argument between Green and Poole might have a similar backstory as well.
