LeBron James, more popularly known as King James, has been in the NBA for 20 years yet has not shown any signs of slowing down. Given that his Los Angeles Lakers haven’t been able to replicate their same form as their championship-winning-campaign just yet, Bron’s unit is gradually picking up to the pace of the season.
Going strong in his 20th year as mentioned, LeBron James is averaging 26.7 points, 8.6 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game. Under Darvin Ham, the Los Angeles Lakers have completely changed their roster surrounding around the Big 3 of Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis and Bron, wherein each of them plays a unique role.
While AD, who has recently picked up a foot injury, has given a more precise role around the rim. This has led to LeBron James shooting more efficiently from downtown, whereas Westbrook can run the game at his pace. A strategy that has been working for them well, in the past couple of weeks.
For those who are unaware – LeBron James’, who was raised by a single mother, full and real name is LeBron Raymone James. The 4x NBA Champ has 3 kids and a lovely wife (Savannah).
Furthermore, LeBron James is famously known as King James, who was a ruler of both Scotland and England according to BBC. As per reports, LeBron’s nickname has been given due to his famous biblical figure. Although his name has nothing to do with ancient royal, Bron has truly earned a fortune for his mother, family and friends via extreme hard work.
That being said, fans might also know James’ other nicknames- ‘The Akron Hammer,’ The Little Emperor, and The Chosen One. The last one ironically came from Sports Illustrated who gave him that title when he was their cover star. Perhaps it is safe to say, that even in year 20, Bron shows just why he deserves these nicknames.
