LeBron James is widely known as one of the greatest basketball players in the game right now, as well as one of the best players to ever step on a basketball court.
The American basketball superstar has enjoyed a career spanning two decades where he has won four NBA Championships as well as four MVPs and multiple All-Star selections – for three franchises.
The Akron, Ohio native was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the draft of 2003 and went on to launch his NBA career with Cleveland, a franchise with whom he would spend the next seven years.
LeBron sought greener pastures elsewhere in 2010, and he moved on to the Miami Heat, with whom he would win the first two NBA Championships of his career in 2012 and 2013. LeBron went back to back with the Heat in 2012 and 2013, a feat that cemented his name as one of the best basketball players in the game – before he decided to go back to the Cleveland Cavaliers, winning the third Championship of his career in 2016.
It was LeBron’s third ring of his career and one that cemented his legendary status with the franchise – before he moved on. LeBron’s next chapter in a decorated career would take him to the West Coast, where he would join the legendary Los Angeles Lakers franchise – and write new history with the storied team.

LeBron joined the Lakers as a free agent in the summer of 2018.
LeBron famously opted out of his contract with the Cavaliers and decided to become a free agent in the summer of 2018. It was confirmed by his agent that LeBron has confirmed a switch to the Los Angeles franchise, and LeBron began the next chapter of his career with a storied franchise.
As it turns out, LeBron indeed wrote his own history with the legendary franchise, leading them to the NBA Championship in 2020 – winning the fourth Championship of his career.
King James is still with the Lakers to date, and despite not reaching the Play-Offs last season – Bron will look to make a mark with the Lakers when the new season begins this month.
