When is Kawhi Leonard coming back from injury as he misses game vs Rockets?

Kawhi Leonard missed the Los Angeles Clippers’ latest game against the Houston Rockets, but when is the Clippers star set to come back?

Kawhi Leonard has missed the last two games for the Los Angeles Clippers after starting the season in good touch of form. After missing the entirety of last season with a knee injury, the Clippers were dealt with a huge boost after his return to the team was confirmed ahead of this season – but more bad news awaited them as Leonard was set for another spell on the sidelines.

Despite starting the season on a positive note and looking like his former self again, Kawhi Leonard was dealt with yet another setback after he re-injured his knee against the Oklahoma City Thunder last week. Leonard was held out of the game last week against the Oklahoma City Thunder after he experienced stiffness in his surgically repaired right knee during the morning.

Leonard flew back to Los Angeles to get more treatment on the knee and missed the second game against Oklahoma City. The extent of the injury meant an extended lay-off period, which meant that the Clippers superstar was ruled out of the Clippers’ second outing against the New Orleans Pelicans, while he also missed Monday’s game against the Houston Rockets.

Leonard has played in just two games this season–both of which the Clippers won – and his period out on the sidelines has coincided with a run of four straight defeats for the Clippers. However, they returned to winning ways as they won Monday’s game against the Houston Rockets.

When will the Clippers star be back in action?

It is hoped that Leonard will be back in action after the next two games.

Already having missed four games for the Clippers this season, Leonard is set to miss at least the next two games as he tries to recover from his knee setback. Head coach Tyronn Lue told reporters the star will not join the team for the upcoming game against the San Antonio Spurs. He added Leonard is frustrated but “getting better, and that’s the most important thing.”

Leonard’s ACL injury in the 2021 Playoffs took a major toll on the player, but there is always hope that the star turns it around and helps the Clippers contend for the title.
