Throwback to the time when James harden couldn’t control his excitement during Yao Ming’s jersey retirement
Yao Ming’s jersey was retired by Houston Rockets. There was buzz all around the arena before the game and it was mostly for the former Rockets star and Hall of Famer Yao Ming. The Jersey retirement ceremony took place at the halftime of the game between Houston and the Chicago Bulls.
It was a great moment as all the former Rockets legends and former teammates were present to witness the honours. But the whole show was stoles by NBA star James Harden as he jumped and plunged into the arms of Yao Ming to hug him. He came running in and gave the most wholesome hugs you will see.

James Harden finished that game with 42 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists as the Rockets defeated the Chicago Bulls 121-117 in overtime. He was also the MVP with the game-clinching basket in OT.
Yao Ming is a legend for the Houston Rockets
Tao was selected by the Rockets as the first overall pick in the 2002 NBA draft. He reached the NBA playoffs four times, and the Rockets won the first-round series in the 2009 postseason, their first playoff series victory since 1997.
In eight seasons with the Rockets, Yao ranks sixth among franchise leaders in total points and total rebounds, and second in total blocks. Yao is one of China’s best-known athletes, with sponsorships with several major companies.
In July 2011, Yao announced his retirement from professional basketball because of a series of foot and ankle injuries which forced him to miss 250 games in his last six seasons. And In April 2016 Yao was elected into the Basketball Hall of fame alongside Shaquille O’Neal and Allen Iverson.
