When will Anthony Davis return from his foot injury?

Published by

As LeBron James dropped season high 47 points to drive the Los Angeles Lakers to their 15th win of the season, basketball fans in Hollywood are keen to know when will Anthony Davis return onto the basketball court. With almost half the season done and dusted, this is perhaps the last time for the 17-time NBA Champs to climb paces.

Davis, who had been playing at MVP level before his foot injury against the Denver Nuggets, has once again left the LA Lakers short-handed as they are in dire need of supporting LeBron James on the offensive end.

Given that Anthony Davis ahs struggled big-time with injuries over the past couple of seasons, the Purple and Gold will be very careful on how to tackle him. Moreover, Darvin Ham will be careful in not rushing back Davis to the floor despite time being against them as they would expect AD to fire all guns blazing as soon as he is out on the floor for them.

When will Anthony Davis return?

Being ruled out for an indefinite time period, AD gave no timeline upon his return but made everyone aware that his recovery is going better than many expected and the healing process in already underway.

As per Spectrum SportsNet, Davis said, “I think the next step is healing right now. I don’t want to use timetables because then if you don’t meet that timetable, it’s a whole different thing. But it’s healing pretty quickly. So, when we get back to L.A. we’ll take another image of the foot and then see how far it has healed since the last time I did it which was the 22nd I think… We’re at the two-week period going into week three and it’s really just about pain.

“The pain is still there, I still feel it a little bit, not as much as I did before, more like a two trending down to a one [on the pain scale]. I’ve been lifting and lifting is fine, everything I do in the weight room is fine. Then if I see that it has healed properly and enough that I can start ramping up on the court then we’ll start that process.”
