NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe got into a heated altercation with Dillion Brooks, Steve Adams, and the other Grizzlies players on Friday when he sat courtside to cheer for LeBron James, Lakers at crypto.com Arena. Although Purple and Gold finally were able to secure a nail-biting win by just 1 point in the closing stages, the highlight wasn’t on the NBA hardwood but the very mentioned incident.
It seemed like Shannon Sharpe and Dillion Brooks got into a heated exchange as the players went to their respective ends. While the former NFL Tight End wanted Brooks to stand in front of him to talk, Steve Adams came rushing in to answer the Undisputed host as he held no regard. Little did anyone know, even Ja Morant’s dad joined the slander.
In an exclusive conversation after the incident with Dave McMenamin, Sharpe revealed, “They didn’t want this smoke, Dave. They do all this talking and jockeying and I ain’t about that jockeying. It started with Dillon Brooks. I said that he is too small to guard LeBron. He said, ‘F**k me’, I said ‘F**k’ you back. He started to come at me and I said, ‘You don’t want these problems.’”
The host of Undisputed added, “And then Ja came out of nowhere talking. He definitely didn’t want any problems. Then the dad came and he obviously didn’t want any problems. But I wanted anything they had. Don’t let these fools fool you now.”
Shannon Sharpe has never been a big fan of the Memphis Grizzlies because of their evident verbal banters and claims. So, when Ja Morant went on previously reveal how he is safe in the Western Conference and is only concentrating on Boston Celtics, Sharpe criticized the 23-year-old for making such claims and stated how he was only 13 at the time when the Grizzlies reached the conference finals last time.
