Why did Shaq (Shaquille O’Neal) eat frog legs on live TV?

Shaq O’Neal was forced to eat frog legs live on television by Ernie Johnson

When it involves doing amusing things on television, the NBA on TNT broadcast is an ISLAND. On Thursday, when Ernie Johnson forced Shaq O’Neal to eat frog legs on live television, absolutely nothing new happened. While the TNT commentators were going over the games earlier, Shaq and Johnson placed a bet. Prior to TCU and Georgia’s National Championship game on Monday, the betting was laid.

The former Los Angeles Lakers icon and his co-host for “NBA on TNT,” Ernie Johnson, made a deal while filming. Shaq, who was initiating the bet, declared that he would choose TCU to defeat Georgia.

However, Georgia thrashed TCU 65-7 on Monday, thus O’Neal along with buddies Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith had to settle their obligation to Johnson.

On Thursday’s edition of “Inside the NBA,” Johnson offered O’Neal some frog legs on a tray while wearing a UGA football helmet, and he ate them right away. O’Neal appeared to be thoroughly enjoying the frog legs, in fact. The large man even displayed a close-up of the food lodged in his mouth.

O’Neal appeared to be having fun, but his colleagues’ panellists seemed not to be. As a vegetarian, Kenny Smith expressed his discomfort about eating frogs. Frog legs are good, I’m not going to lie, Charles Barkley argued from the opposing side of the argument.

Shaq joked that he got a haircut inspired by Stephen A. Smith when revealing his new diet and hairstyle on Tuesday’s pre-game broadcast. When O’Neal and co-host Candace Parker noticed that the Los Angeles Lakers legend’s hairline is crooked, they both started giggling.
