Trae Young is one of the young sensations who could turn into a poster player for the NBA. He has been averaging 27 points for the Atlanta Hawks with 9.9 assists.

He is named in the same sentence as Stephen Curry and Reggie Miller for his 3-point shooting talent. There have been speculations that the relationship between Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks head coach Nate McMillan has been tremulous.

The Atlanta Hawks are currently standing in the 8th position in the Eastern Conference with a record of 24-24. Entering 2023, Nate McMillion spoke about his desire to retire.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, “In midst of turbulent season, Atlanta Hawks head coach Nate McMillan has strongly considered resigning from his position, sources say.”

Although, the information made public by Shams Charania were termed false by Hawks CEO Steve Koonin. He even said that the speculations of misbalance in the Hawks dressing room were fallacious.

Where will Trae Young and Hawks stand this season with all their disputes?

Mike Conti tweeted, “Hawks CEO Steve Koonin on @DukesandBell929 this afternoon called this story “trash journalism… This is made up stuff. I am literally calling Shams out. It is just hack journalism. Hack.”

Trae Young was asked to come off the bench the other day but he refused to be a part of the game all together. Nate McMillan’s view was  to not start Trae as he did not take part in the shootaround practice.

Before Nate McMillan, Lloyd Pierce was supposedly fired due to his “strained” relationship with Trae Young. The only difference this time with Nate is he signed through 2025, but things have gone rocky in the 2nd year of his coaching.

Reggie Chatman Jr. tweeted in December, “If it was to stay private, it probably wouldn’t have been that big of a deal, – Trae Young says when you’re an outsider to a private situation, you should stay on the outside”
