NBA Legend Kobe Bryant once correctly predicted why James Harden and the Houston Rockets will never win a title.
James Harden and Kobe Bryant are among the best shooting guards to ever play the game. Both had immense respect for each other’s game, and they played together quite often for the US Olympics team.
However, Kobe Bryant once predicted why the Houston Rockets and Harden would never win a championship. He believed their play style isn’t built for championships, and that is why they haven’t been able to get over the hump.
Kobe said, “I’m not a fan of it, in terms of winning championships. I don’t think that style is ever going to win championships. But at the same time you have to keep your team’s head above water to win games, so you have to do what you have to do to win games and he’s doing that.”

Even though the Houston Rockets were never able to go to the NBA Finals with Harden, the team played some exciting basketball. They gave the Warriors a run for their money almost every year. Harden dominated the league every year and also won the MVP once.
Talking about Harden’s greatness, Kobe said, “It’s a testament to how remarkable it is because people are now trying to minimize what he’s doing. I mean, he’s doing some phenomenal stuff.”
