The Phoenix Suns turned their screws up in the 2nd half of Game 5 and blew out the Dallas Mavericks.
The Phoenix Suns defeated the Dallas Mavericks by the score of 110-80, in game 5 of their ongoing series in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals, and took a commanding lead of 3-2 in the series.
Pheonix outscored Dallas by 61-34 in the 2nd half of the game and blew them out of the park. Devin Booker led the way for the Suns as he scored 28 points, and earned a crucial win for the Suns at their home court.
Chris Paul had a decent game as he dished out 10 assists, and it was enough for the Suns to take care of the Mavs, and now they have a chance to close them out in game 6 at Dallas.
The Suns were coming after two straight losses in Dallas, and this win puts them into the driving seat for the remaining games.
Luka Doncic was once again brilliant, as he continued his stellar postseason record. In the loss against the Suns, he ended up scoring 28 points and recorded 11 rebounds as well. Jalen Brunson also scored 21 points, but it was not enough for Dallas to avoid this huge loss against the Suns.
The focus now shifts to the Game 6 back in Dallas. The pressure will be very high on Dallas to come away with a win to force game 6. Even though it won’t be an easy task, the Mavs have shown throughout the series that they are well capable of defeating the Suns.
