Jaren Jackson Jr. had surgery to repair a stress fracture in his foot and will be sidelined for 6-8 months.

Jaren Jackson Jr., the Memphis Grizzlies’ emerging star, will be sidelined for at least 4-6 months. He went through surgery to repair a stress fracture in his foot and is expected to make a full recovery.

The Memphis Grizzlies had a great season last year, and Jaren was a huge part of it. He is developing himself into one of the best defenders in the league while also contributing to the offensive end.

He led the league in blocks last year and was a huge part of why the Grizzlies were so sound defensively. He has a very bright future ahead, and hopefully, he gets back healthy next season, because the Grizzlies need him to make another big run like last year.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN: “Memphis Grizzlies F Jaren Jackson Jr., underwent surgery to repair a stress fracture in his right foot on Wednesday and is expected to be sidelined for 4-to-6 months, sources tell ESPN. Jackson is expected to make a full recovery.”

Jaren Jackson Jr. was a DPOY candidate last year

Jaren Jackson Jr. was a defensive player of the year candidate last year. He is expected to make a run towards it next season. However, if he misses numerous games, he might not be considered for it.

JJJ is a tremendous defender who can guard 1 to 5, and we can expect to see a huge leap from him next season, as the Memphis Grizzlies continue to rise above expectations every year.
