Russell Westbrook responded to what Skip Bayless said about him, and Skip Bayless also responded to what the Lakers star said.

Los Angeles Lakers star Russell Westbrook finally responded to one of his biggest critics. He had enough shade thrown toward him over the past year, and it had reached a boiling point.

FOX Sports Analyst Skip Bayless has continuously referred to Westbrook as “Westbrick” due to his struggles with shooting the ball. This wasn’t taken lightly by Rus, who believes that people are insulting his family’s name by saying ‘Westbrick.’

On Twitter, Westbrook clapped back and tweeted out, “Yoooo… watch your mouth. Don’t say anything here you wouldn’t say to my face.” It came after Skip Bayless had tweeted about the new Lakers player Max Christie, who they drafted in the 2nd round of the draft.

Skip in his tweet had written, “Lakers acquire a 2nd-round pick, take Michigan State’s Max Christie, who shot only 32% from 3 last season. Perfect! He’ll fit right in with LeBron and Westbrick.”

Skip Bayless invites Russell Westbrook to talk face-to-face

Skip Bayless is one of the most famous sports analysts in the world. Unlike many people, Skip didn’t back down after Russell Westbrook tweeted about him. Instead, he asked Westbrook to join him and discuss it face-to-face.

Skip Bayless wrote, Hey, Russell Westbrook (@russwest44) … happy to talk face-to-face about the nickname I believe I originated in 2012. JOIN ME ON TV/PODCAST. Let’s talk about how you’ll make $47 mil next yr after being THE WORST 3-PT SHOOTER IN THE NBA! Most overpaid player ever? PLEASE JOIN ME.”

Skip Bayless didn’t stop there. He tweeted one more tweet, where he states that Westbrook, instead of improving himself, is targeting the critics. He thinks that Rus needs to step up and perform well for the Lakers, which he didn’t do last season.
