Skip Bayless continued to troll LeBron James even after a great performance in the win against the San Antonio Spurs
LeBron James led the Los Angeles Lakers to a 143-138 victory over the San Antonio Spurs. The Lakers were missing their star player, Anthony Davis, yet they still managed to win.
LeBron James, who has missed a lot of time due to injury this season, played his finest game of the season against the Spurs. He scored 39 points and had a double-double. His final stat line was 39-11-3, with 7/12 three-point shots converted. However, Skip Bayless wasn’t impressed by his performance.
Talking about it, Skip Bayless said, “LeBron (39), taking candy from babies tonight in San Antonio. 143-138. Once, the Spurs played defense. LeBron, by far the NBA’s worst 3-pt shooter, caught hot streak (7-12). You know what that means: Next game he’ll go 1-10. Hurts team jacking up so many threes.”
He also said, “LeBron just said he “puts in too much work” to remain in a 3-point slump. Huh??? He has ALWAYS been a pretty sorry 3-pt and free-throw shooter. Hard work would’ve made him a career 38% 3-pt shooter and a career 85% FT-shooter.”
Nevertheless, this was a fantastic effort from the Lakers superstar, who had begun to wonder if he was no longer good and if age was catching up with him. With this victory, the Lakers improve to 7-11 and are on the right track under head coach Darvin Ham. They’ll play the Indiana Pacers next, giving them a better look at their trade targets.
