Jayson Tatum once again played poorly against the Golden State Warriors, and the Boston Celtics lost the game.
The Golden State Warriors once again got the better of the Boston Celtics as they defeated them in a convincing manner by a scoreline of 123-107. There were high expectations from Jayson Tatum following his meltdown in last season’s NBA Finals, but the MVP candidate failed to perform well.
Jayson Tatum scored just 18 points in the game while shooting an abysmal 6/21 from the field and 2/9 from the three-point range. He also missed three free throws and didn’t play the way he has played throughout the season.
Former Boston Celtics player Kendrick Perkins didn’t shy away from calling out Tatum and said, “Once again the Warriors reminding my big dumb a*s that it’s LEVELS to the shit. I mean they are KICKING the Celtics a*s if great fashion. Tatum looked scared as hell tonight! Y’all stay out my mentions and Carry the hell on…”
The Celtics have been by far the best team in the league and the Warriors have played quite poorly this season. As a result, this win was huge for Steph Curry and co.
Hopefully, they will be able to carry this momentum in the upcoming games as well. On the other hand, the Boston Celtics will face the Clippers and Lakers up next, and they would love to bounce back and win those games.
