NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe believes the 3-point records of Stephen Curry won’t last longer due to the change in game.

The Golden State Warriors superstar, Stephen Curry, is the undisputed king of the NBA when it comes to 3-point shooting. He holds all the records related to scoring from outside the three-point line.

Even though Curry still has a lot left in the tank, NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe believes that there is a very high likelihood that Steph’s record won’t last much longer. He believes that the game has changed completely, and more and more players have mastered the art of shooting threes.

Talking about how Curry changed the game when it comes to shooting from the three-point ranges, Sharpe said, “Steph Curry came along and took it to levels that we had never seen and we may never see again as far as the shooting with the accuracy from that distance.”

He added,  “Now these young guys the Trey Youngs and Buddy Heilds, they’re off to better start shooting the three things than Steph because they shoot more and they make it more of the season so the likelihood of Steph’s record lasting a very long time isn’t very good Skip because that’s where the game is transitioned from Steph made it go from uh uh inside-outside game to mainly an outside-outside game.”

Trae Young has a legitimate shout of breaking the records of Stephen Curry

The only player that comes to mind as of now who has a great chance of breaking the record of Stephen Curry is Trae Young. Trae has a similar playstyle to what Curry has, but the thing that puts Trae ahead of Stephe is the kind of start Trae Young has had to his career.

Trae didn’t take his team to the WCF in just his 3rd season in the league, but Curry did. With the arrival of Dejounte Murray, Trae will get even better looks and will have energy left in his tank to make those threes. He makes it look effortless. There is still a long way to go, but Trae has a good shout for those records.
