The Boston Celtics drafted the Phoenix Suns 125-98 and led by more than 40 points at one point in the game.
The Boston Celtics continued their domination in the league as they outplayed the first seed in the Western Conference, the Phoenix Suns, and defeated them by 27 points. The Celtics led by more than 40 points at one stage, and it they dominated the Suns in a similar fashion to what the Dallas Mavericks did in Game 7 last season.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown once again led the way for the Celtics as the duo scored 25 points each while the Suns took off their starters in the third quarter itself. Devin Booker ended up scoring 17 points for the Suns, and Chris Paul made his return after injury, Despite that, the Suns looked mismatched against the Celtics, and it showed the difference in quality between the two 1st seeds.
Jayson Tatum is now leading the race among the MVP candidates as the Celtics defeated both Luka Doncic and Devin Booker in a span of games, and that is of huge importance.
The Celtics haven’t dipped from their trip to the Finals last season, and if they continue to play like it, there is a strong possibility that the city of Boston will celebrate a championship at the end of this season.
