Long-time New York Knicks target Donovan Mitchell was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Stephen A Smith was very upset.
Donovan Mitchell was surprisingly traded from the Utah Jazz to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The names of the Miami Heat and the New York Knicks frequently surfaced in trade rumors involving Mitchell over the course of the offseason.
Cleveland, Ohio, however, is where he plans to make his next residence. With Donovan Mitchell joining a youthful and talented squad, the Cavaliers are now legitimate title contenders.
The New York Knicks fans were visibly very upset with Mitchell getting traded to the Cavs. One of the most famous fans of the Knicks, Stephen A Smith immediately showed off his frustration via a video on his Twitter account.
In the video, Stephen A Smith said, “You got about seven or eight first-round picks. You got RJ Barrett. You got Julius Randle. You got Toppin. You got Immanuel Quickley. And you still couldn’t get Donovan Mitchell. You still couldn’t get him.”
He added, “They make me sick. Nothing ever gets done in New York with the Knicks. Nothing. … It just never ends with the Knicks.” With the Knicks missing out on Mitchell, it seems like the franchise will still be away from contending for more years. As a result, like every Knicks fan, Stephen A Smith was also absolutely frustrated.
