New LA Rams quarterback Baker Mayfield might have found the perfect place to play under Sean McVay as per Skip Bayless.
Baker Mayfield made his debut for the Los Angeles Rams last week, leading the team to a victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. He led the team to two touchdowns in less than five minutes and restored life back to Los Angeles.
Many were left impressed by Mayfield’s outing against the Raiders. Skip Bayless, who is one of his biggest supporters has high aspirations for him under the coaching of Sean McVay in Los Angeles.
Talking about Baker Mayfield and Sean McVay, Skip Bayless said, “It just didn’t work for Baker in Carolina. And yeah, I’ll give you this. It’s certainly turned out to be a trash year for Baker. But he has proven for long stretches of his career that he can play at a high level in the National Football League.”
He added, “And now we’ll see if he can click with a Shawn McVeigh who has a lot of Baker in him or maybe it’s vice versa. Maybe Baker has a lot of Sean McVay in him. They’re both c*cky front runners in their own ways. And maybe it’ll be a much better click for Baker We will see about that. But the point is I will not back down I will not back off.”
Mayfield is set to start for the Los Angeles Rams against the Green Bay Packers and going against Aaron Rodgers will be a great litmus test for the former Browns quarterback. He will hope to have another great game and raise his market value.
