Anthony Davis had a great performance in the loss to the Golden State Warriors on the opening night of the new NBA season.
The Los Angeles Lakers started their new campaign with a disappointing loss to the Golden State Warriors on opening night. They lost the game by 123-109, as their lack of three-point shooters continues to impact their performances.
Despite the loss, there were many positives for the Lakers in this game. Their big three of Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis, and LeBron James had great games on the offensive end, and they’ll hope to continue doing it going ahead into the season.
Anthony Davis looked like a man on a mission and was arguably the best player on the floor in the first half. AD ended the game with 27 points and 6 rebounds along with two blocks and showed why he is so important to this Lakers team. LeBron James also had a double-double with 31 points but it wasn’t enough to take down the defending champions.
Nick Wright was left impressed by Anthony Davis’ dominant performance on the opening night against the Warriors and said, “*This* version of AD is a total game changer for the entire league.” Hopefully, Anthony Davis will remain healthy and continue to put performances like these.
