Here are the top 5 teams who can raise their level of play as the NBA season is about to resume after the All-Star break
The most critical part of the season is upon us as the race to the playoffs tightens ups. Many teams have not performed up to their expectations this season and are not in playoff spots at the moment.
The teams who were the favorites to win the championship have not been good so far due to many reasons related to chemistry issues and injuries.
However, there are still a good chunk of games left and teams can make a run towards the playoffs and prove their doubters wrong.
This is a time of the season where the good teams show out while the teams who are not so good and have performed well in the season flame out and slip off a few spots on the rankings.
5. Atlanta Hawks
Last season they were in the Eastern Conference Finals game and shocked the entire world in the playoffs. This season hasn’t started well for them due to injuries to important players like John Collins, DeAndre Hunter but they have slowly started to heat up and will be looking to finish the season strong and get into the playoffs.
4. Philadelphia 76ers
With the inclusion of James Harden, the 76ers are a solid championship contender and they will look to finish the season strong while developing the chemistry between Harden and his new teammates in order to be ready for a deep playoff run.
3. Golden State Warriors
With Chris Paul out for the Suns for the rest of the regular season, it is the time for the Golden State Warriors to step up and win the West. Draymond Green and James Wiseman will be coming back from injuries in around 2 weeks and that will make this team even stronger and ready for the playoffs.
2. Brooklyn Nets
Ben Simmons is back and he will be roaring to go with his new team and prove all his haters wrong. Simmons, Kyrie, and Seth Curry can carry this team well until KD is out and once KD is back they’ll show the world why they are the favorites to win the championship.
It’s now or never for the Lakers and LeBron James as they were one of the favorites to win it all this year but have underperformed massively and will need a huge effort by the whole team to qualify for the playoffs. If they manage to qualify for the playoffs, you can never count out LeBron and Anthony Davis against any team in the playoffs.
